Headlands is designed to make the most of our special spot on the North Oregon Coast. Each of our 33 oceanfront guest rooms and 18 spacious oceanfront cottages offers sweeping views of the ocean and Pacific City’s dramatic Haystack Rock, all with a private balcony or patio to enjoy it.
Oceanfront Lodge
Choose from rooms with one king bed, two queen beds and accessible rooms. All feature private balconies, gas fireplaces, spa-like bathrooms and thoughtful amenities that connect you to the coast.
Oceanfront Cottages
Each of our luxury cottages features two or three bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, spacious living areas and private balconies or patios with ocean views – ideal for families, groups and longer stays.
Oceanfront Lodge: Check-in begins at 4:00 pm; check-out is at 12:00 pm.
Oceanfront Cottages: Check-in begins at 5:00 pm; check-out is at 11:00 am.
Oceanfront Lodge: A refundable authorization of $100 per night is taken at
check-in.
Oceanfront Cottages: A refundable authorization of $500 is taken at check-in.
This authorization is released upon settlement of final charges at check-out.
All reservations are subject to an 11.9% lodging tax and a 10% amenity fee. These rates are subject to change.
Yes. A deposit equal to the first night’s room, tax and amenity fee is due at the time of booking.
Oceanfront Lodge: Fully refundable up until 7 days prior to arrival.
Oceanfront Cottages: Fully refundable up until 14 days prior to arrival
Oceanfront Lodge: Please cancel at least 7 days prior to arrival for a full
refund of your deposit. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will forfeit the
deposit.

Yes. We welcome dogs as part of the family. Please let us know in advance so we can confirm a dog-friendly room. The dog fee is $50 per dog, per night, which includes a dog bed, towels, food and water dishes, and more.
Every stay at Headlands supports our coastal community. In partnership with Kind Traveler, a $5 per night donation is made to the Wildlife Center of the North Coast. This appears as a “Community Impact Program” line item on your folio. Participation is optional; just let us know at check-in or check-out if you’d like to opt out.
Yes. Self-parking is available for $12 per night with unlimited in-and-out access. Two EV charging stations are on-site. Please notify us in advance if you plan to bring an over-sized vehicle, trailer or RV.
Yes. Our experienced chef team at Meridian Restaurant & Bar creates cuisine inspired by the rugged natural beauty of the North Oregon Coast that captures the bounty and spirit of our surroundings. Enjoy dining in the restaurant with its sky-high windows and expansive views of the Pacific Ocean or stay in and share an intimate meal on your private oceanfront balcony.
Yes. You can order in-room dining, wine and handcrafted cocktails from Meridian Restaurant & Bar.
Head out for a walk on the wide, sandy beach. Explore the tide pools at the base of Cape Kiwanda. Go for a heart-pumping hike up the towering Cape Kiwanda Dune just steps from your room. Fish in the Nestucca River or navigate along our Three Capes scenic route.
Head to the Adventure Center and reserve a private outing with an Adventure Coach, join a small group excursion to a nearby trail or grab a self-guiding map and trekking poles and head out to explore the coast. Whether you decide to explore the local area or venture further out to experience the grandeur ofthe Oregon Coast, our Adventure Coaches can help create a memorable and inspiring getaway
Headlands is on Oregon’s North Coast, where forested cliffs and towering dunes meet the Pacific. Nestled in Pacific City, alongside Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, we’re far enough off the beaten path to feel like a true getaway— just two hours from Portland International Airport.
Schedule a restorative massage or a rejuvenating facial treatment at Tidepools Spa & Wellness. Work out in our airy fitness studio using our Precor equipment, Peloton bikes, cable tower, free weights, and stretching props. Enjoy a relaxing soak in our outdoor hot tub or linger by the fire pit and take in the exquisite ocean view.
Yes! Linus cruiser bikes, fat tire bikes and e-bikes are available to borrow along with
helmets and local maps. Visit the Welcome Desk or Adventure Center for assistance.

No. We are a 100% non-smoking property. Smoking in guest rooms or balconies is subject to a $500 fee.
