Make Headlands Your Second Home

A handful of our oceanfront cottages are available for purchase on a fractional share basis. Deeded fractional share ownership provides owners three weeks of use per year with access to all Headlands amenities including the spa, outdoor hot tub and many wellness activities. Maintenance and repair are handled for you so when you’re on vacation, you’re truly on vacation. Both two- and three-bedroom floor plans are available.

Headlands has 18 oceanfront cottages in Pacific City, built for families and groups who want room to spread out with the Pacific in view. They come in two- and three-bedroom layouts, from about 985 to 1,350 square feet, and each has a gourmet kitchen, a jetted soaking tub, a gas fireplace, and a private balcony or deck with a grill. Every cottage faces the ocean and Pacific City’s Haystack Rock, and guests have the full resort around them: the outdoor hot tub, Tidepools Spa & Wellness, and Adventure Coach outings. A three-bedroom Grand cottage sleeps up to six, which suits a multigenerational trip.

There are four. The Two Bedroom Cottage is about 985 square feet with a king and a queen, sleeps four, and has an ocean-view whirlpool tub. The Two Bedroom ADA Cottage is the same size with two queens, sleeps four, and adds hand rails, lowered counters and a walk-in shower. The Three Bedroom Cottage is about 1,150 square feet with a king, a queen and a twin with trundle, and sleeps five. The Three Bedroom Grand
is about 1,350 square feet with a king, a queen and two twins, and sleeps six. All four have a gourmet kitchen, a gas fireplace and a private balcony or deck with a grill.

Book direct at headlandslodge.com, by phone at 503.483.3000 or through SynXis. A deposit equal to the first night’s room, tax and amenity fee is taken at booking and is fully refundable up to 14 days before arrival; inside 14 days the deposit is forfeited. Reservations carry an 11.9 percent lodging tax and a 10 percent amenity fee. A refundable authorization of $500 is taken at check-in and released when the final bill settles. Cottage check-in is 5:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am, and Guest Services will try to stretch that if you ask.

They are part of the resort. The 18 oceanfront cottages sit at Cape Kiwanda beside the lodge and are booked the way a room is: direct at headlandslodge.com, by phone at 503.483.3000 or through the SynXis booking engine, and also through American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts and the major travel sites. Cottage guests use everything at the lodge, including Tidepools Spa & Wellness, the fitness center and wellness studio, the outdoor hot tub, Meridian and the Adventure Center. Guest Services answers by phone throughout the stay, and beach access is on the south side of the cottages.

A handful of the oceanfront cottages are sold on a deeded fractional share basis. A share gives the owner three weeks of use a year with access to all Headlands amenities, including the spa, the outdoor hot tub and many of the wellness activities, and the property handles maintenance and repair, so an owner arrives on vacation rather than to a list of jobs.
